Dole Manor Park

In the park of Dole manor I was posting about last two posts, there is some kind of open-air museum. It has some old houses and other things connected to the Daugava river. For example, this is some kind of installation for the fishermen nets. Since I am not very informed about these kind of things, I focused on making a nice photo instead of doing the research on historical things…

Dole Manor

Dole Manor is on the Daugava river left bank near Riga. Once it stood on the island, but when they built Riga hydroplant, it became peninsula. Inside the manor there is a Daugava river museum, around it there is a nice park you can walk around.

The Daugava Delta

I am back from a short trip to Istanbul, Turkey, and back to the posting.

Some time ago I posted the picture of Daugavgrīva Lighthouse. You can see the lighthouse also in this photo, just from the opposite side of the river.

Sea Gates Of Riga

Waves in the river Daugava delta after the weekend’s storm that made some damage in some other European countries but was almost nothing special here in Latvia.

After The Storm

We had a warning about a big storm that had to mess up everything last night, but today noone is talking about it very much, everyone still has an electricity, the wind wasn’t making much noise last night, so I think the storm was cancelled at some point.

This photo is taken near the so called Sea Gates of Riga - where Daugava flows into the Baltic Sea. Next days some more pictures from here.
