Birdies

I was browsing through my last year June’s photos and I found this one. I captured them quite nice, I think.

I don’t know what birds they are, but I can tell by their noses that they are fish-eaters. Yeah, I’m a bird specialist! ;)

Flower Carpet

I was walking on the road posted a few days ago, when I saw this nice carpet of white flowers. I had no doubt that it will go on my blog soon!

Seaside Road

There are many beautiful countryside roads along the coast of Baltic Sea with almost no cars at all. It’s nice to just walk around…

After Sunset

This is my second time I try to make a photo with long exposure after sunset. This time I think I did much better than last, so I’m posting it.

Somehow I have to manage to be in this place when the sky is extra red, could make something out of it…

Sigulda Air Tram

The air tram in Sigulda takes you across the Gauja river to Turaida where stands the magnificant medieval castle I was posting about some time ago. This is a view from Krimulda palace.

Sigulda and its surrounding is one of the most visited places in Latvia.

Blooming Chestnut Tree

I don’t know who was the first one who described these blossoms as candles, but they really look like ones.

Prague, Czech Republic is famous for it’s chestnut trees in blossom time, but have some parks with these trees also here in Riga.

Blooming Apple Tree

You know what’s interesting? Near Riga almost all the fruit trees have finished blossoming, but only some 100km up north they have only started! I am thinking then what’s happening now in Estonia. Or in Finland! Have to check weather news, isn’t it still snowing there! :)

More Flowers

More flowers from this beautiful spring time. May be you are wandering what I will post after the spring will end and there will be less flowers. Then it will be time for buildings, beaches etc.

Birds

I have to think seriously about having 500mm lens, because 300mm sometimes is too short. When I went closer, these birds just flew away. Also this day I took some pictures of a nice woodpecker. One problem - you must find him on the picture, so I am not posting it here. Yes, I have to think about 500mm…

Yellow

I think spring is my favourite time of the year. In summer it is all green, but in spring it is more interesting. For example this field of yellow flowers. I am not sure is it raps or something else, but anyway - looks magnificent!

I remember the time when we were in Sicily, Italy - it was the end of April and all the flowers were blooming. It was much better view than late summer. Something like the same here!
