These are the stones in the Vidzeme stony beach I have photographed a few times already. This weekend the stones were crazy green.

A street of the medieval town of Cēsis leading to the ruins of Cēsis castle. This time we didn’t visit the castle, but I can promise that some time in summer I will post a few images from these medieval ruins.
Yes, it’s that time of the year again! No, not that, not Christmas! It’s springtime! Blooming of the fruit trees has started with these little yellow plums. Magnificant view, not giving up to Japanese cherry trees!

Zvārtas cliff on the banks of Amata river is one of the most beautiful places in Latvia. Everyone has to visit this place, so today I did it too finally.

A closer shot of the Ribbes windmill I was posting about yesterday. Since this place is very close to Lithuanian border, this is also possible for them to come here and have fun. We actuly did see some cars with Lithuanian licence plates.
Today we went some 80 kilometers just to have a dinner. Sounds crazy, but turned out really great!
Some 10 kilometers from Bauska there is a renovated Ribbes windmill and around it there is built a receation place named Rožmalas. It has a great restaurant where we had our dinner. Also we looked inside the windmill which is now a museum. Too bad we didn’t call earlier to arrange a pretzel battering, our daughter surely would have loved it!
We don’t have full-size leaves on the trees yet, but some flowers are there already.
Next week I am on vacation from my everyday work, and I am not going anywhere abroad. That means - if I will have a good cooperation with the weather guy, I will make a bunch of interesting springtime photos. We have some plans about traveling around Latvia for some days with my family. Let’s see what will come out.
It’s springtime and all the forests are full of these little blue flowers. Days are getting longer and soon summer cafes will open. Great time we are having now!
