Ok, now really - this is the last from golden autumn. Next time something completely different!

Well, I browsed my photos and found out that I still have a few from my walk through golden parks of Riga to show you. Today one with Freedom Monument - the best known Latvian landmark. Enjoy!

Bastion Hill (Bastejkalns in Latvian) is artificial hill which is part of what was left after they destroyed the bastions around Riga in the end of 19th century, which marked the start of Riga being modern western city of Russian Empire then.

Remember this fountain from one of my previous posts? This is the some fountain some two years later. Haven’t changed much, have it?

In the next few days you will see some more pictures of Riga’s parks, since yesterday was great sunny day and did some walking with my camera.

Have you ever thought why leaves look the best just before they fall down? Well, it is just natural, but still very interesting.

So, final days when we see trees with leaves are here. Now the golden autumn is at its best, and today I made out to capture it!

I was abroad in Germany for a while, that explains the silence for a few days.

Continuing where I left, I am posting the new bridge in Ādaži near the old one mentioned in previous post. Looks nicer, doesn’t it?

The road which leads from Ādaži town to Latvian army base has one landmark which shows that nothing is more eternal than a temporary solution. They built this bridge after the WWII as the temporary solution but it is still there today. But now it is over, there is a new bridge almost finished near this one. So, this is something like an early in memoriam for the bridge.
